About Fort Lauderdale
Coastal South Florida city just north of Miami, known for beaches, boating and canals. A cruise port and a retirement destination as much as a business one.
Population about 1,754,000 at the game's 2010 snapshot.
Fort Lauderdale is a leisure market: most of its traffic is going on holiday, which rewards big aircraft on fewer flights.
