MUC — Munich-Riem Airport
Munich flew from Riem, close to the city, until 1992, when everything moved to marshland near Erding. Two widely spaced parallel runways there allow genuinely independent operations.

About Munich
Capital of Bavaria in southern Germany, near the Alps, and a centre of engineering, cars and insurance. Wealthy, conservative and heavily business-travelled.
Population about 2,800,000 at the game's 2010 snapshot.
Munich is a business market: its traffic comes from companies and connections rather than from holidays, which rewards frequency over seat count.
