ATR 42-500
The ATR 42-500 of 1995 was a major upgrade with more powerful engines, six-blade propellers and an improved cabin for higher speed and comfort. It kept the ATR 42 competitive as airlines demanded better performance on short routes. It became the definitive mid-life version of the 42.
