Bombardier CRJ100
The Bombardier CRJ100 of 1992 was among the first regional jets, derived from the Challenger business jet to bring jet speed and comfort to routes long served by turboprops. Seating around 50, it let airlines replace propeller aircraft and open new thin routes to hubs, sparking the regional-jet boom of the 1990s. It reshaped short-haul flying across North America and Europe.
