Bombardier DHC-8-400
The Dash 8-400 (Q400) of 2000 was a major stretch to around 70–90 seats with an active noise-suppression system and jet-like cruise speeds near 670 km/h. Fast enough to compete with regional jets on time while burning far less fuel, it became a favourite on busy short-haul turboprop routes. It stands as the largest and fastest of the Dash 8 line.
