Yakovlev Yak-42
The Yakovlev Yak-42 of 1980 was a larger short-haul tri-jet seating around 120, designed for efficiency and to operate from modest airports with minimal ground support. It served Aeroflot and successor carriers on domestic routes for decades, valued for its rugged simplicity. It was the last airliner from the Yakovlev design bureau's Soviet era.
