Ilyushin Il-18D
The Ilyushin Il-18 of 1959 was a four-engined Soviet turboprop, one of the most successful of its kind in the Eastern Bloc and widely exported to allied nations. The Il-18D was a higher-capacity, longer-range version seating around 100–120, a mainstay of Aeroflot and its partners through the 1960s and 1970s. Rugged and reliable, many flew on for decades in passenger and cargo roles.
