Ilyushin Il-62M
The Il-62M of 1974 was an improved long-range version with more efficient engines, extra fuel and better avionics, extending the type's reach and payload. It became the definitive Il-62, flying Aeroflot's longest routes and serving as a government transport across the Eastern Bloc. Some remained in state and cargo service well into the twenty-first century.
