Hawker Siddeley Trident-1E
The Hawker Siddeley Trident of 1964 was a British short-haul tri-jet, a fast, advanced design that pioneered automatic "blind" landings in fog. The 1E was an improved early version seating around 100, sold to several export customers. Optimised tightly to one airline's spec, it lost the wider market to the Boeing 727 it closely resembled.
