Boeing 737-200
The slightly stretched 737-200 of 1967 was the version that made the 737 a success, selling over 1,000 through the 1970s and 1980s. Rugged and simple, with an optional gravel-runway kit, it opened jet service to remote and unpaved airstrips around the world. Its low-slung engines and stubby shape made it a familiar sight everywhere from US commuter routes to the Australian outback and the Canadian north.
