British Aircraft Corporation Super-VC10
The Super VC10 of 1965 was a stretched version of the elegant, rear-engined VC10, built for high-density long-haul routes and seating around 160. Famed for smooth, quiet cabins and superb hot-and-high performance, it was a favourite of passengers and crews on BOAC's Atlantic and African services. Beautiful but costlier to run than the 707, it sold in small numbers before later flying for decades as an RAF tanker.
