Boeing 737-700
The 737-700 of 1997 was the first Next Generation 737 to enter service and the launch model for Southwest Airlines, seating around 140. Its new wing gave it more range and better economics than the Classics, ideal for the point-to-point low-cost model then sweeping the industry. Reliable and efficient, it anchored huge single-type fleets and later spawned the popular BBJ business-jet version.
