Boeing 747-400
By the time the 747-400 arrived in 1989 the jumbo had already democratized long-haul travel for two decades, and this last mass-produced passenger 747 was its high point. A two-crew digital cockpit, winglets and greater range let it fly the world's longest nonstop routes with over 400 passengers. It became the flagship of nearly every major airline through the 1990s and 2000s, and the enduring symbol of the jumbo era.
