Lockheed L-1011-1
The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar of 1972 was a technically advanced three-engined widebody, rival to the DC-10, seating around 250–400. The -1 was the original domestic version, admired for its smooth automatic landing system and quiet cabin — arguably the most sophisticated airliner of its day. Engine-maker troubles delayed it and capped sales, and it became Lockheed's last commercial airliner.
