Lockheed L-1011-500
The L-1011-500 of 1979 was the long-range TriStar, with a shortened fuselage, extended wingtips and more fuel to fly intercontinental routes nonstop. British Airways, Pan Am and others used it on long thin routes where its range and efficiency shone. It was the ultimate and most capable version of Lockheed's technical masterpiece.
