McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30
The DC-10-30 of 1972 was the long-range intercontinental version, with an extra landing-gear leg, more fuel and greater range that made it the definitive DC-10. It became a global long-haul workhorse through the 1970s and 1980s for carriers across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Many later flew cargo, and the type's DNA lived on in the MD-11.
