McDonnell Douglas DC-9-50
The DC-9-50 of 1975 was the longest and last of the original DC-9 line, seating around 140 with a refreshed cabin and quieter engines. It arrived as fuel and noise concerns were rising, offering airlines maximum DC-9 capacity per flight. It capped the family before it evolved into the even larger MD-80 series.
