McDonnell Douglas MD-88
The MD-88 of 1987 was a late MD-80 with an updated glass cockpit, electronic flight instruments and cabin refinements. Delta Air Lines was its biggest operator, flying it as a domestic backbone for over three decades until retirement in 2020. It represented the mature, most modern form of the classic MD-80 line.
