McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30
The MD-90-30 of 1995 was a modernised MD-80 with fuel-efficient IAE V2500 engines and a stretched cabin seating around 160. It arrived just as the re-engined 737 and A320 were taking over, so it sold only modestly despite being a capable, quiet aircraft. Delta operated a large fleet, and its design lineage fed into the later Boeing 717.
