McDonnell Douglas DC-10-40
The DC-10-40 was a long-range version powered by Pratt & Whitney engines instead of the usual General Electric, built primarily for Northwest Airlines and Japanese carriers. It offered similar range to the -30 with a different powerplant suited to those operators. Reliable and durable, its examples served for decades on Pacific and domestic routes.
