Airbus A310-300
The A310-300 of 1985 added range with wingtip fences and extra fuel, becoming one of the first widebodies able to fly the Atlantic on two engines with ETOPS. It let carriers open thinner long-haul routes and served widely from Europe to Asia and Africa. Rugged and long-lived, many went on to fly cargo and government missions for decades.
