Boeing 767-200ER
The 767-200ER added fuel and higher weights for extended range, and in 1985 became one of the first twinjets cleared for long overwater ETOPS flights across the Atlantic. It let airlines open thinner transatlantic routes that couldn't fill a 747, fundamentally changing how oceans were crossed. This modest-looking aircraft quietly began the twin-engine long-haul revolution.
