Airbus A321-100
The A321-100 of 1994 was the first stretch of the A320, seating up to 220 as Airbus reached for the capacity of the 757 and larger 737s. The baseline version traded range for size and sold in modest numbers, mainly to European carriers on dense short-haul routes. It began the A321 line that would eventually become the most important single-aisle aircraft of its generation.
